Custody Timeline Guide
What a custody timeline contains
A custody timeline is a dated ledger of events affecting your offline altcoin reserves. It is not a balance sheet and not a trading log unless you choose to include exchange acquisition dates.
Typical sections
- Wallet index — labels, device types, creation dates
- Chronological event log — moves, migrations, refreshes
- Verification checkpoint register — drills and balance confirmations
- Backup registry — paper and metal, with locations and status
- Succession summary — plain-language guide for heirs
Sample timeline arc
2017
Wallet A created — first hardware purchase, Litecoin primary cold storage. Device label assigned.
2019
Backup engraved — metal plate stored with family in Busan. Witness: sibling.
2022
Geographic move — device transported Seoul to Gumi; backup remained in Busan.
2024
Verification drill — recovery rehearsal completed; checkpoint logged.
How we build yours
Our Custody Timeline Documentation service follows intake → gathering → draft review → bound delivery. Most projects take four to six weeks.
New holders may start with a Cold Storage Planning Session before committing to a full ledger.
